LIVE BREAST SURGERY WORKSHOP @ KIMS

Mr Suresh Chanda, Principal Secretary, Health & family Welfare inaugurated a full day Workshop on Breast & Robotic Surgery at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences. The Live workshop will showcase the basic and advanced surgical techniques relating to breast and robotic surgeries and is being held as part of DAY 1 programme of South Asia’s largest Annual Surgical Congress being held at HICC until 30 December. Some 10– 15 Surgeries will be performed during this workshop. The singular aim of this workshop is to educate and empower surgical trainees, general surgeons and surgical specialists about the art of performing various procedures safely and competently so that patients are benefitted. The mission statement of the Conference workshop is ‘What you can learn over the weekend that you can apply in Clinical practice the following week’.

The Breast Surgery workshop is being organised by Dr Raghu Ram, President elect of the Association of Breast Surgeons of India. He is a well known Breast Surgeon who established Indian Subcontinent’s FIRST free standing purpose built comprehensive centre for Breast health at KIMS. He is the Director & Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon @ KIMS- Ushalakshmi Centre for Breast Diseases & Organising Secretary of this Congress – ASICON 2014
