Dr. P. Raghu Ram, President Association of Surgeons of India (ASI)  inaugurated the ASI Critical Care Course on 8 February 2020 at Kasturba Medical College. Mangalore. Some 40 surgical  trainees participated in the two day Programme, which was held in collaboration with Acute Critical Care India & the University of Manchester.

The Course aimed to empower participants about identifying and effectively managing critically ill surgical patients presenting with unexpected adverse events, in an endeavour to save more lives. A team of trainers from the UK alongside other trained Course faculty from India conducted the Programme.
