Dr. Raghu Ram pledges Rs50 Lakhs - Ibrahimpur - his adopted village in Telangana
Following up on an article that featured in the media, which mentioned that although The Govt of Telangana launched the Grama Jyoti Project in 2015, only 30% of villages have been adopted thus far, Dr. Raghu Ram, his parents - Drs Chalapathi Rao & Ushalakshmi and his wife, Dr.Vyjayanthi adopted Ibrahimpur, the remotest village in Siddipet District in Telangana with a population of around 1000 people with 265 homes.
After assessing first hand the pottential projects along with the Hon'ble Minister, Dr. Raghu Ram contributed towards the following initiatives:
The School Dining room & Digital Study Room built at a cost of Rs 10 lakhs was inaugurated by Mr Harish Rao. On 11th February.
Foundation stone was laid by Mr Harish Rao today for the modern Crematorium being built at a cost of Rs 10 lakhs, that would cater to many Villages in and around Ibrahimpur.
Funding agreed to build & stock a modern Library at a cost of Rs 10 lakhs in addition to providing 100% Solar generated electricity for 25 houses in the village at a cost of Rs 15 lakhs.
Rs 10 lakhs would be spent towards building living space spread over an acre of land for sheep and cattle in the outskirts of the village so that they do not come into the village, this preventing animal borne diseases within the village community
A Health Centre manned by an ANM that will be built that would provide basic healthcare in the Village and regular camps to detect Cancer in the early stages are being planned simultaneously.
