Dr. Raghu Ram was appointed Chairman, International Affairs Committee for or SAARC Surgical Care Society, an organisation that represents Surgeons practicing the art & science of Surgery in South Asia.
The Royal College of Surgeons of England, one of the oldest Surgical Colleges in the world has agreed to his proposal to partner with SAARC Surgical Society.
Bright young Surgical Trainees from SAARC countries who have completed three years of Surgical Training from their respective Countries will now have an opportunity to obtain two years of ‘hands on’ paid training positions at Centres of excellence in England. They would then return back to their respective Countries to improve the delivery of Surgical care in their motherland.
