Dr. Raghu Ram -  the youngest Surgeon ever to have delivered the prestigious ‘Professor M.P. PAI Memorial Oration’ instituted by South Canara Branch of The Association of Surgeons of India in Mangalore during his Centenary year celebrations.

Prof Pai ( 1919 - 1992) - widely considered to be an eminent surgeon, extraordinary teacher, visionary Dean of KMC - Mangalore & legendary doctor - he is credited to have conceived designed & established the first ever postgraduate Course in the erstwhile State of Mysore( now Karnataka).During his Centenary year, an envelope was released by the Postal Department to commemorate Prof Pai’s yeomen contribution to the medical field in the State of Karnataka.
